On December 30, 2021, the Marshall Fire devastated Boulder County, Colorado, becoming the most destructive fire in the state's history. The fire claimed two lives, destroyed over 1,000 structures, and displaced more than 37,000 people. Fanned by intense winds of up to 115 mph, the fire spread rapidly, consuming homes, businesses, and livelihoods in a matter of hours. Though the fire was extinguished by heavy snowfall a day later, the damage left behind was monumental.
In the wake of this disaster, communities came together to rebuild. At Denver Flooring and Finishes, we are proud to have played a key role in the restoration process, partnering with top local builders to help fire victims regain a sense of home. Our solutions were vital to the reconstruction of many homes lost in the fire, and our commitment to quality and craftsmanship helped bring hope back to those affected.
The Impact of the Marshall Fire The Marshall Fire ignited under extremely dry conditions following an unusually warm summer and fall. Fueled by abundant dry grass and powerful winds, the fire spread across Boulder County, causing unprecedented damage. In less than 24 hours, more than 1,000 homes, businesses, and structures were reduced to ashes. Families lost everything, and rebuilding seemed an overwhelming task. For many, flooring became a symbol of renewal as they began piecing their lives back together.
